Meet Dr. Kojanis
Dr Kojanis is originally from the Bergen County area where he attended Tenafly High School. He later earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Lafayette College where he played Division 1 Varsity tennis for 4 years and won multiple scholar athlete awards.
He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and graduated with honors from New York University College of Dentistry in 2014. He subsequently completed a highly reputable 4yr Oral & Maxillofacial surgery program at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center specializing in complex facial trauma, TMJ surgery, jaw corrective surgery, Head and Neck Cancer, Implantology, facial reconstruction, outpatient sedation, botox/fillers, and dental rehabilitation cases. A significant amount of his training was dedicated to the use of computer guided virtual surgical planning, and the use of custom surgical guides for the correction of dento-facial deformities, jaw defects, facial trauma, and placement of dental implants. During his final year of residency he held the position of Executive Chief Resident.
Dr Kojanis is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU/Bellevue Hospital center where he spends time teaching and operating with residents. He is also Section Chief of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Englewood Hospital Medical Center.
Dr Kojanis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as the American Dental Association, New Jersey Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Association, and the Bergen County Dental Society. He holds active certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Personal interests include traveling, exercise, tennis, art history, and exploring New York City. He was awarded the Rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 18.
Dr. Kojanis maintains active dental and general sedation licenses in New York and New Jersey.
